Fed: Death in WA brings national holiday toll to 12

A fatal rollover in the remote West Australian town of Leonora is the first traffic fatality in the state this Christmas season .. bringing the national holiday toll to 12.

Police say the young male was thrown from his vehicle after his car rolled on the Goldfields Highway north of the town.

Victoria .. where four people have been killed in traffic accidents since Friday .. leads the national toll .. with the latest being a 20-year-old man killed when his car hit a tree at Boolarra in the state's east.

New South Wales reports three deaths .. after fatal accidents on Saturday at Woronora in Sydney's south .. Ulmarra near Grafton .. and Grawin near Lightning Ridge .. both in the state's north.

On Queensland's Sunshine Coast .. an 18-year old driver became the second fatality .. when his car crashed on Kin Kin Road at Pomona early today.

Two women have been killed in separate crashes in the Northern Territory since Friday.

No fatalities have been reported from the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia.
